Metallurgist
An experienced and motivated Metallurgist with previous operating experience in Ore Treatment Plant with SAG Milling and Flotation processes.
Your core accountabilities in this position will include;
- Monitoring and reporting on production and metallurgical performance of the CSA Mine Ore Processing facility.
- Coordinating and implementing metallurgical investigations for the facility.
- Supporting the development of systems that ensure compliance to legislative requirements and site standards.
- Liaising with the Underground Manager to ensure that operational personnel have a general understanding of the medium term production schedules.
- Assisting with the design, procurement and implementation of Surface Capital Projects.
- Assisting with the implementation of a culture of continuous improvement for Ore Processing Department.
You will need to communicate with the Manager-Ore Processing & Mine Superintendents to enable effective mine scheduling and to create mining forecasts. You will also need to and participate in the development of budgets, as well as schedules, short and medium term plans.
To fulfil this role it is expected that you will have:-
- A formal qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering.
- Previous operating experience in Ore Treatment Plant with SAG Milling , Flotation processes, planning, implementing and reporting on Metallurgical test work and investigations.
- A high level of motivation and a desire to succeed.
